Rob and Callum present part one of Good Shit '15 with their favourite 20 tracks of the year. Songs that they've played into the ground, throughout the year, which still kill on each listen and in some cases improve.
As usual, no committee, no aggregated results, no box tixing; just songs that do it for your presenters. Let us know what has done it for you this year.

If There's Hell Below Present: The Good Shit

Download and stream from bandcamp

To celebrate 200 episodes of the weekly music podcast If There’s Hell Below we have put together a compilation album of music from bands and artists we love, with exclusive tracks and deep back catalogue joys.

Every week we (Rob Morgan and Callum Eckersley) meet up to drink, talk rubbish and share our favourite new listens from the deep dark corners of wherever then throw these recorded ramblings and music online in podcast form. We’ve now done this 200 times. To mark this triumph, we have called upon the bands and artists that add some talent to this weekly hour to provide music for a mixtape/sampler/compilation of killer unreleased and exclusive tracks (plus a few ace album cuts).

This is ‘The Good Shit’, 21 tracks from the kind of freaks, outsiders, punks, stoners, drunkards, bedroom geniuses, suburban troubadours, obsessives and wits that have become friends of the podcast, the kind of folk we want at our 72 minute 200th pod party. This is the music that makes our podcast tick: garage punk rock n roll, psychedelic and folk whimsy, heavy Friday night through to Monday morning jams, alternative wit and power pop.

Rob and Callum present the last podcast of the year; the jewel in the ITHB crown ‘Good Shit: Albums’. These albums are our favourite listens of 2014, as is tradition with Good Shit, there’s no pecking order, no league table of music but we always end up bigging up our one favourite record of the year, usually we’ll have one each but this year one particular record stole our heart and it was difficult to pick anything else that’d top it. Enjoy the pod and let us know what your favourite LP of 2014 was @ithbpodcast and mail@ifthereishellbelow.com.

If There Is Hell Below present the fourth annual Good Shit podcasts. In the first of the two reviews of music in 2014 Rob and Callum look at their favourite tracks of the year. We won’t spoil the tracklist but we can confirm each and every song is 100% dynamite. Talk is short, sweet and irreverent as always.
