If There Is Hell Below podcast... Lee Hazlewould

Rob and Callum present sounds of the future as imagined by dreamers from the 60s and 70s where the limit of the future stopped at 2001 but a 2001 that seems so much more wonderful than 2014 we inhabit.

That sound is realised with the radiophonic hip hop of Mattic and electronic space jams of Sculpture. There’s some cuts from the familiar and loved with Quelle Chris, IAMNOBODI, Small Professor and Pharoae Monch all delivering gold. There’s two Hozac tracks from People’s Temple and Ruined Fortune plus some more killer tracks.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Dungeons & Dragons

Join Rob & Callum for this podcast, a show in which they toil with the possibility of the dormant dragon that lies within them; craving fantasy roleplay both board and live action.
Until then the desires are fed with a track by Wrath from Numero’s latest hard-rock comp focusing on bands with scorcery, damsels and knights in mind. There’s hip hop from Phife and his ode to his friend Dilla and Disclosure surprise with their hip hop production on the latest Bishop Nehru track. Warm Soda provide some power-pop fizz and Fumaca Preta and Juan Waters provide some primal Latin garage rock. There’s also the return of cult-psych-folk figure Linda Perhacs and something from the latest Step Brothers album.
There’s more besides too, roll that 36 sided dice and play.

If There Is Hell Below... Dranuary

Happy New Year and welcome to the 150th If There Is Hell Below Podcast with Rob and Callum.
The sound of 2014 is essentially 2013 but in a different calendar year, the change will happen gradually and you may have to wait till 2015 to notice.

So we pick up where we left off, with The Men who have a new album out, we continue to praise the heavy with Thrill Jockey’s Pontiak and post-punk-disco-psych-rock from PyPy. There’s a track from Ariel Pink and his Violens mate, the return of A Sunny Day In Glasgow and of course some killer hip hop provided by veteran Del The Funky Homosapien, Dag Savage and Prince Po & Oh No.
There’s more fun inside, a new year awaits.
