Rob and
Callum present the If There Is Hell Below podcast, without a theme they are
left to talk about things like the kind of music played in bars in a late 80s
sci-fi film that doesn’t exist.
The
intergalactic barroom song in question comes from Nicolas Jaar and Theatre
Roosevelt (whoever he is?), plus there’s hip hop from Dilla Ghost Doom,
Wrathmatics and something dug up from the 90s by Rakim, smooth white soul from
Donnie & Joe Emerson, Shintaro Sakamoto and a track from one our favourite
comps of the year. There’s also some twee Scotch-pop from Golden Grrrls and
garage surf power pop from King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Of course that
is only a few layers of filling inside this sandwich, take a listen and enjoy
those hidden flavours.
