Welcome aboard the St-Ark, it’s like the podcast Ark but it’s gone intergalactic, taken to the stars and beyond. Have a seat at the never-ending captain’s table helmed by Rob and Callum your hosts of this podcast and this little music and chat journey.

In-keeping with the sounds of universe are cosmic psychedelic hip hop sounds from Shabazz Palaces, Ghost McGrady and Psymun. However, we need to keep ourselves grounded, need to remember ‘the old world’ so we have power pop from Big Eyes, lo-fi garage from Total Control and Viet Cong and some Finnish psych-prog from Drn Drn. Plus there’s other tracks in this mystical beyond and be sure to try out your ‘task of the week’ as detailed at the end of the pod.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Paisley Rubbish

It’s only after a few weeks have passed that Rob & Callum can finally face the wreckage of that great lost podcast, a sunken piece of the ark lost to the mysterious city of lost broadcasting. You didn’t hear it but it was GOLD and it’s gone - FOREVER.
Luckily every week we try to replicate such dynamism with the help of a week’s worth of music that we’re both got excited about.
Zig Zags return as the quintessential ITHB band with some obnoxious heavy and fun, sleazy rock, BIG KRIT continues to be utterly incredible with every release, Theo Verney is representing garage rock on this dull rock (UK) and Floating Points brings some New Orleans funk to Fatima’s pop soul.
Plus other delights, step on the ark for a bit and listen.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Do Not Enrage a Monkey

Callum & Rob are back with their most polarizing song choices in of the If There Is Hell Below of the year.
Rob’s choices this week shamefully bow to the cool kids, music to drink their booze and juice to: Nordik jazz prog rock from Krokofant, jazz and hip hop beats from Jesse Futerman and some cop hating punk from Low Fat Getting High.
Callum this week is the indieman with power pop from Sonic Avenues, lo-fi bedroom DIY from The Memories and shimmering pop from Cold Beat.
There’s more surprises and tracks inside, come in but don’t enrage the monkey.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Wave Designer

Rob & Callum are back from their unplanned technical error holiday with a podcast full of immediacy: the kind of immediacy you want in a CGI wave that crashes against a CGI mountain in a Russell Crowe Ark film.  There’s only one REAL ark in this town, NOAH.
Hardcore punk, garage punk, power pop punk are the call of the day with short and direct blasts of joy from Sam Coffey & The Iron Lungs, In School, Dino Boys and Golden Pelicans. There’s some time for breath with the harmony pop of From the South, the Crazy Horse as fronted by Rick Danko sound of Blueprint Blue and the baroque sunshine of Donovan Blanc.
Plus some other tunes, it’s all KILLER from front to back this week.
