What is this..?

"This specimen's arsehole levels are off the chart"

What is a blog, Mr. Scientist? I think perhaps it would be best to ask a scientist, or perhaps a Doctor, they're the best people to tell you about diseases and shit and stuff and the like. And perhaps throw in a psychiatrist and let them have a field day on some people's blog.

With blogging I really don't understand why anyone would go onto a site just to hear about a nobody, who hasn't really done anything and isn't particularly interesting?
Stop reading now, because me voicing an opinion and general rants and shaking my sex fist at what stuff "I LIKE", is almost the same.

So stop reading and download some decent tunes with worth. I have loads of excellent stuff to put up so may do another post very soon, with treats. Here are some for the moment.

Todd Rundgren- Zen Archer (mediafire)
Amazon:
Todd Rundgren: A Wizard, A True Star
More like 'Godd Rundgren' hahahalolz. This is from the album 'A Wizard, a True Star', it was made in 1973 and is still a fresh little daisy of polished excitement. I suggest to buy this album muchly as it beautifully flows together like a sexy canal.

Steely Dan- Your Gold Teeth II (mediafire)
Amazon:
Steely Dan; Katy Lied
Man i am becoming wrapped in some 70s polished blanket lately. Steely Dan do this best, but like Todd are the last band to be deemed cool. But then again I know kids who are "cool" who wear glasses without lenses. I am turning old. This is greatness though.

White Williams- In The Club (mediafire)
Amazon :
White Williams; Smoke
More recent and I think a bit ignored by many. His single 'New Violence' was one of the singles of the year for me, I suppose there's a bit of Beck there and maybe a bit of Hot Chip, good electronic.

What they canceled Noel's House Party? Guess I'll just watch Big Break then... What? You're fucking kidding me.

New friends: "Mate, you gonna eat that? Looks like your
mums gash! Sorry, mate gotta use up my mum joke quota
I'm 32 next week and you know the "National Board of Sibling Jokes"
don't let anyone over 32 use mum jokes anymore. PC gone made mate"

This is the first Saturday in for me in sometime, and I have to say I'm uncomfortable with this. It's quarter to ten (GMT) and...I kinda really feel the urge to leave the house and go out and drink with people I don't know.
Sure I've really confused the future, me going out and being in their presence, hijacking their night out is some kind of butterfly effect.
This was the night that Greg was finally going to tell Marjory that he's the one who keeps leaving an affectionate Twix on her desk every morning. But Greg has actually stopped doing this when she started becoming dependent on two fingered confectionary and slowly losing that tight ass he becomes magnetised to when she goes to the photocopier. Marjory though finds the sudden change in gesture of celery and humous quite insulting though. Greg doesn't realise this and believes this makes him a twentieth century male... not realising he's 9 years late, why don't you leave her a babybel you 90s hugging idiot, and no Greg, it is not acceptable to watch Thundercats with a tinge of nostalgia irony at 24 years old- "they just don't make good cartoons anymore?".
But I've hijacked the night and Greg will never be able to shit out his emotions in her face, instead he is left going "do you know this kid?" all night as I tell them how Steely Dan may be pound for pound the greatest band ever.

That's the Butterfly Effect, which is also a film with that p[rofessional smug arsehole who always seems to have a black and white camera recording the side of his face.

Instead I am going out (and here is the point of this post) on a Monday, which is great because I don't have a thing like a steady job... the reason? Oh well my morning procedure of Pig Offal to my office crush did not go down as hoped, she could've made a lovely Pate out of that.
This monday
Club Durrr (still the worst club name around) at the soon to be no-longer-with-us The End, I'm going to see PNAU and Pacific! and I am quite looking forward to these little diamonds. Pacific! released Reveries this year, they're from Sweden and have a nice airy pop sound and PNAU stick to the Oz electro pop sound that has hogged electro sets and bloggers.

Here are a couple of their tunes for you to sample.

PNAU- Lover

And finally I forget what's on my iTunes, sometimes this is a blessing because I stumble across something I didn't realise was so great. I know little about the work of A. Vuolo & E. Grande, I did a google and found little but some links for the album Desert which the song is from. It's a lovely cosmic disco tune with the geek synth and bit your lip and close your eyes bass.

Ryan's Gonna Fix It. Was It Broken?

Ryan Adams is back on the releasing tunes trains, this is of course is fantastic news, especially as it was getting to the end of summer and it seemed that I'd be watching him on tour this September with no release to back up. Of course he'd probably play a song he'd just dreamt up in his head 15 minutes ago and decided to wing it on the crowd as he tries to live out his dream of being Jerry Garcia. I was present at a gig where he decided to put the crowd through the endurance that is The Grateful Dead's 'Dark Star', it's an endurance test of a song and to be frank I didn't pay to see Ryan Jam.

One of my favourite Ryan Adams performances and what I wished Goodnight Rose sounded like on CD.

That was two years ago and in between that he released Easy Tiger, which was a bit below the Ryan Adams normally high bar. But he's got a new album 'Cardinology' for 2008 and of course like a dog who wants a biscuit I inexplicably want some.
So 'Fix It' is the first little glimpse into what to expect, and it really isn't anything that'll leave you picking up the pieces of the boundary he has just broken. It's a safe Ryan Adams song and it has me wanting to hear the rest of the album hoping it's one of those "well it's actually nothing like the album at all" tracks.
Personally I want him exploiting his Grateful Dead obsession on this record and hope that 'Fix It' is his 'Truckin''.
