Like a girl with a fringe that could slice steel, hips so flexible it'd make Mick Jagger reconsider the design of his new fake hip and a look in her eyes where you know she's gonna make your liver quiver. But like that girl would get a hold of my head, something else has and I can't stop thinking about- Falconry.
I keep thinking how amazing it would truely be to own a Falcon, watching it sweep and hover onto my mitt for his sliver of raw meat. A hunter in my hand (that's a slogan falconry association), the power, the sweet power.
Man's best friend is suppose to be a dog? A dog does not look good perched on your shoulder as you swagger through town like a pirate who got the right idea, decided the sea wasn't for him (especially when he can't even handle a cross channel ferry trip before that £3.50 prawn sandwich is sprayed in the conveniently everywhere paper bags). And realised that he was fed up of the tropical back chatting prick that once housed his soldier. Men would fear me and women would be love that this man can tame this hunter, but it's an animal and I love my falcon, thus realising my caring for nature side, which balances out when in reality I eat otters and stray dogs.
For this very moment this is a hobby I am seriously thinking about. But fear that, much like my flirtation with learning the drums, basketball and remote control cars I may lose interest. For the three failed hobbies I either couldn't be bothered to wait to be good at it, I'm 5 foot 7 and realised that basketball is in fact pretty rubbish and quitting remote control cars, because it got to the point that it could've hindered me eventually losing my virginity.
But falconry sounds like a worthwile pursuit, I do not spend much time in the country but maybe it would be nice to go down on a hungover sunday and play with my bird. And they do look cool, they look very cool. I listened to music to take my mind off birds of prey.
The new Mystery Jets tune is pretty dawn great, I enjoyed their last album and this is a little joy. Mystery Jets- Young Love
I've completed the first, of what I plan to be a consistent series of mixes under my (often burdenning) DJ monicker of Rob the Mod. I've been DJ'ing over two years now and have decided to try and push this a bit more from the normal indie DJ'ing of crossfading in-out of guitar tracks and have tried to make something a bit more interesting from your stereotypical indie dance floor.

TweetHello my sweet children (I wonder if someone has ever typed "sweet children" in google before?).
Some people may know me (you're my friend i've given you this link and forced you to read in between prising your claw from your genitals, whilst you enjoy the internet's foray of Niche's). I am new to this world of blog, I understand there are about a billion blogs, but i've only just got a phone that can take photo's so I feel like some intergalactic kid who needs to envelope himself further into technology.
For those who don't know me... I'm not gonna bore you with bullshit.
If you come back to the blog you can expect plenty of gifts, I will shower you with delights like a mental sending fanmail to an X Factor contestant.
These gifts will come in the form of MP3's, Podcasts and rambling articles.
Do these sound like gifts?
I don't have much to say for my first blog. So I'll just show you a little video excerpt from a favoured film of mine 'The Fly', I'd give an Oscar to Jeff for this scene.
Cinema at it's greatest. Agree?
I'll finish this first blog, of which I've really said little of worth, by offering three awesome tunes. The first is by the Midnight Juggernauts, I am falling in love with this band. It's what Daft Punk would sound like if they turned into a Psyche band. Second is by The Millennium, a glorious 60s Summer Pop band. Their tunes are sweet like a sugar coated quim, oozing honey (Jeff would love that sweet sugar). The third is Curtis Mayfield, inspired the name of the blog (couldn't wait weeks to think of anything clever). Man this is thinking man's funk, but you love dat baby doll.
Note: These tunes will be up for a limited period. It's for you to realise "Yes, Rob these tunes are mother fuckers I'm now going to purchase their entire back catologue". Midnight Juggernauts gotta eat man.
