If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Terry's Malts

Rob and Callum are back from a week off, a return from the edge of the country and back to a world where you’re judged by which one of two bagel shops you go to.
A week off, so that means the tunes are doubly good this week, what a week, front to back killer and so on; hip hop comes from the cosmos via France from Astronote, Tom Petty’s bastard sons Nude Beach are back with some sonic nectar, Meatbodies provide a slab from their new album out on In The Red (which gives you an idea to the sound) and there’s some NWOBHM loving from London’s Amulet. There’s also some cuts from Dope Body, Gross Pointe and LVL Up.

All gold, check the nuggets inside.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... 25 Reasons You Want to be a Wizard

Rob & Callum Gylifinakisddsaf are back with the 172nd sequel of the original ITHB podcast; just like Callum’s older body double and star of shit hashtagLAD comedy The Hangover. If an idea is good once it should remain good forever. And so these series of ramblings, punctuated by great songs continue. With the hypnotic drone of Dylan Carson’s Earth, the denim-clad-garage-teen-pop of Cozy and The Budos Band go a little Gandalf the grey with a proggy take on their funk sound. Paul White puts down the sampler in favour of glam beat and dusty psych sound, plus there’s punk from Pissed Jeans and hip hop from Sulaiman. There are some other tracks too but you don’t want to give the whole thing away in the trailer, do you?

Note: May need to turn your volume up on this one, came out the oven a little quieter than usual. Rob & Callum return with more music generated by social network interactions and streaming stats, sure it’s soulless and exhibits no actual appreciation for song but it’s THE FUTURE and you’re going to have to deal with it. Front to back killer tunes on this podcast with something from the new King Tuff record, a possible best song of the year from Broncho with a track that clings to your brain in an instant, there’s Euro-electro-jazz from Little Tornados, otherworldly hip hop turntabilism from DJ Qbert and of course power pop from indie supergroup Ex Hex, amongst others. Turn it up, have a drink and enjoy.

It’s your boys Rob and Callum, back for another If There Is Hell Below podcast. Callum returns from the festival of arts and music with a diablo, a nipple ring and a lovely stick of fire eat; he’s here with all that stuff but luckily he’s bought a bag of digital music surpassing the whole of the festival’s programming. Out of that bag comes Genuine Leather sounding like the kind of guy we’d like to party with, the incredible new one from Spoon and the return of Mazes with some ace poppy fuzz rock. There’s hip hop from the latest Adrian Younge produced Souls of Mischief album plus psych tropicalia from Fumaça Preta and the floaty jazz lofi funk of MNDSGN. There’s plenty more inside; suppose you gotta listen man, to really get off on the full vibes of this podcast… Man.

Rob & Callum are back plugging into their target audience; the beautiful and the wise. Speaking of plugging plenty of it
in this pod for our new DJ night starting July 19th at the Earl Derby – music and alcohol, it’ll be like being in the podcast.
Music this week is front to back killer from the glam rock power pop of Mother’s Children to the Stepkids presenting their experimental (and possibly superior) side, there’s satisfying hooky pop from Cocktails, next level hip hop from Busdriver feat Danny Brown and Aesop Rock plus some tales of the road from country bluegrass playboy Bradford Lee Folk.

There’s more of course, take a listen and enjoy.

Take that stodgy slow-cooking stew off the stove; you need something quick, immediate, satisfying and potentially bad for you – like Rob and Callum’s ITHB podcast.

Immediacy comes in the form of garage punk and indie pop from Modern Pets, TOONS, Doozies and Spider Bags and satisfaction comes from the hip hop groove of Megabusive and RnB funk of Sinkane. Again, all killer tracks in this one take a listen to the rest  – Download It You Scum.
