If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Pillow Eyes

Join Rob and Callum for another If There Is Hell Below Podcast; they’re discussing the possibility of a new swear word to freshen up our fruity vocabulary. Ideally something subtly offensive but not derogatory to a person; at first it seems like just a stupid word but slowly reveals it’s grotesque-self, whilst being highly enjoyable to say. Top to bottom killer from all the music types this week: snotty garage punk from Needle Points, rhythmically Brazilian smooth-AM rock from Japan’s Shintaro Sakamoto, dreamy pop from Sunbeam Sound Machine with hip hop from Gorgeous Children and a Nottz produced track from Halo. There’s some Prefab meets Ariel Pink pop, some punk, some indie music and garage rock delights from Australia. Take a listen and when you’ve dreamed up that New Swear email us at mail(at)ifthereishellbelow.com.

We nominate YOU to listen to this podcast, rather than give to charity, lend a listen to Rob and Calum for an If There Is Hell Below podcast and we’ll take care of the charity. The charity? You. That’s the level of music we could be offering on this podcast. Watch as Germany and Australia do some bar raising with some great hip hop from Dexter (DE) and Silly Joel & the Candymen (Oz) plus an Alchemist produced track from Bodega Bamz and Hellfyre Club’s Nocando prove the American’s are still alright. There’s a punk Sugarcubes cover from Perfect Pussy, power pop from Connections and fire up the Burger Records klaxon for Tomorrow’s Tulips. Take a listen for more tracks and talk from your boys at ITHB.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Code of the Angel

Rob and Callum are back thinking like the thinking men we continue to be; thinking about ways we can shoehorn big words into this description like your boy Milo (his new song is in this pod). We like to think but it leads to us balancing up whether we’d cut it as a Hell’s Angel or imagining a world where water is currency – ya know, the deep shit.
However, the real depth is gonna have to come from the music we play; with hip hop from The Black Opera, Cory Jreamz and Armand Hammer, punk from Sickthoughts, cosmic biker psych from Daughters of the Sun and some Mexican garage punk.
Plenty more to think about besides as the thinking continues.

If There Is Hell Below Podcast... Terry's Malts

Rob and Callum are back from a week off, a return from the edge of the country and back to a world where you’re judged by which one of two bagel shops you go to.
A week off, so that means the tunes are doubly good this week, what a week, front to back killer and so on; hip hop comes from the cosmos via France from Astronote, Tom Petty’s bastard sons Nude Beach are back with some sonic nectar, Meatbodies provide a slab from their new album out on In The Red (which gives you an idea to the sound) and there’s some NWOBHM loving from London’s Amulet. There’s also some cuts from Dope Body, Gross Pointe and LVL Up.

All gold, check the nuggets inside.
