Johnny Trunk is the music librarian, an archivist and obsessive of music made for the screen, he explores the British library music scene in this fascinating radio documentary currently on the iplayer.
After hearing it I've been on a massive library music bender digging through my collection and virtual vaults and been digging out some wonders.
Rugbymen by Roger Roger is taken from his sports based collection of tracks and is a wonderfully playful number; jazz breaks and big fat boingy drums paints a picture of large middle-class buffoons tossing a leather egg to one another, often cluttered like one of those scrum things and then a rugbyman breaking free with a motorik beat only to be bought to the ground by a ba-boinging oaf.
