So this bloke comes across a box of 7" singles sat beside Madlib's trash at his home/studio, surely a mistake? Nah just rubbish to the man, chucking it out 'gone with 'em' he says to the man and so the lucky sucker takes them home and gets his buddy DJ EGROEG to compile a mix of the tracks.
This ain't your standard car boot, charity shop fodder, this is Madlib: a man who you know has a chronic addiction to good records, he probably doesn't need these records, they didn't make the cut... records that won't make his cut would be the pride of lesser collectors.
So hear is the mix as posted originally by LA Weekly, exotic, psyche, country, glam rock, prog, funk, soul, disco and oddities... what else would you expect? Well this glam rock wonder popped up too.
